the O.C. Beaches

Thanksgiving weekend Jeff had a few days off so we stayed over at Huntington, Beach then visited Newport and Laguna also. All beautiful and each unique.
Playing on the Beach. A little windy and chilly day

Go Utes! We watched the first half of the game at the restaurant then the kids wanted to go so we played on the beach and sent Jeff back to see them pull out the victory at the end!
Chilling by the Fire Pits at our hotel
A little marshmallow dipped in chocolate on a stick
It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas every where we go! (besides no snow- which is new for us)
riding the long board
Taking the ferry from Newport Beach to Balboa Island

the kids were excited to see Captain Hooks' pirate ship on the water.

Giving THANKS!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving this year. We got invited over to a friends home for the yummy feast. Thanks Greg and Heather for inviting our family over. They rented a bounce inflatable for the kids. It was great that they could play out side while the women cooked and the men watched football. They next day we went to Tangled 3D. Then we went to Orange county for the weekend did some more exploring of the area. (more pictures to come.) It was a wonderful long weekend.
We are so grateful for many things this year! Wonderful family, great husband and kids, good health, great friends old and new, the gospel, home to live in, and a job, just to name a few! Thanks to all of you for keeping in touch and for your influence in our lives.

La Brea Tar Pits

Last weekend we visited the La Brea Tar Pits. What you say? The place where they go through tar to find remains of animals who may have got stuck in the tar and die because they could not get out. They have found lots of wolfs, sloths, saber tooth tigers, and mammoths to name a few. It was very fun and educational experience.example of what may have happened

LAZOO

Last week there was no school on Veteran's Day so I took the kids and their friend Liviya to the LA Zoo. They had a great time and got pictures by their favorite animals. It was a nice sunny day. Some of the exhibits were under construction for the winter but we saw a lot (enough) and I definitely got a good work out pushing the stroller up and down the hills.the crocodile hiding under the tree

Black with white stripes or white with black stripes? Jocelyn thinks it is definitely white with black stripes cause their bellies are white?

Three Whole Years

Our little Buddy Caden turned 3 on Sunday November 7. He is such a fun spirited boy who loves his brother and sisters. He loves playing ball(especially baseball), running, riding bikes and scooters, playing with toys, loves eggs and milk in his special cups before bed. He is still working on getting potty trained. He loves watching the "Froggie movie"( leapfrog ABC videos) and likes to play on PBS kids. Usually finds his way into his parents bed in the middle of the night. He has such a cute little voice and loves to talk. He is a good helper and loves to help mom bake. He turns most things into a sword of some sort. He likes to get dressed all by himself and thinks he is in charge. He loves to wrestle and jump on his dad and he absolutely LOVES money! He is such a joy- We love our Caden. Happy Birthday Bud!
