OUR IRONMAN

He DID it! Jeff and his Dad are officially Ironmen! They Both did so good and we were very proud of them. Start time was 7 am and then they Swim 2.4 miles, Bike: 112 miles, and Run a marathon at the end (26.2 miles) I know CRAZY! We made posters and T-shirts(that said "we love our crazy Ironmen") and rang bells and clappers. - trying to cheer them on. It was a long day for the athletes as well as the spectators. The kids did great - only a few melt downs. Jeff finished at about 6:45 pm (making his goal in finishing under 12 hours.) Papa Dave finished strong at about 8:15 pm. Way to Go Boys!

The day before they had a fun kids race around the capitol building. Which Jocelyn, Ellie and Caden participated in. The girls ran the whole time. Caden ran some then i held him for parts. it was cute his little legs had to take a lot more steps than all the other kids

After the race they had snacks, drinks and games for the kids. They also had the fun blowup jump toys.

A little to sunny for the kids to look. It was the warmest weekend that Madison had all Summer! Race day was around 85 degrees! So very hot for the racers especially

The Bike transition- before all the bikes are on the racks. There were over 2000 athletes entered in the race!

Jocelyn's first day of Kindergarten

Jocelyn is SOOOOOO excited for her school to finally start! All morning, she kept asking if it was time yet. She was not sad or scared just happy to go. I was a little chocked up but not to much because she was super excited. Her new backpack. All organized with everything she needs and placed by the front door the night before.
