7lbs 7oz 19 inches

Our Sweet Baby Eliza Jackson joined our family almost one week ago!
It all happened really fast.  I thought maybe my water leaked a little bit around 9:30 ish as I was putting the kids to bed.  Then the contractions came on fast and strong about 2 minutes apart.  Went and woke up Jeff who was still recovering from minor surgery he had the day before on both of his knees. ( I know- good timing)  Called my mom and she brought my sister Bryndy over to watch the kids and she and Karen met us at the hospital.  Jeff drove us to St. Marks Hospital and we arrived about 10:15.  Told the staff it was coming fast- 2 minutes apart and feeling lots of pressure- and I wanted an Epidural.  They checked me and I was at a 6.  It took them a good 6 tries to get an IV in me then checked me again- I was at a 10.  The contractions were very painful.  Anesthesiologist said there was no time for an epidural.  (Again!-Ellie also came very fast and Natural- thought i was going to die-painful).  He left the room 90 seconds later baby was out.  I pushed once and her head came out.  She was posterior- face up.  Jeff said she opened her eyes for a second then I pushed again and she came all the way out.  We did not know the gender before so it was awesome to hear... It's a... Girl!!! She came on her Papa Dave's Birthday and 11 days early!  We (Me and Jeff) recovered in the hospital Sunday while family watched the other kids.  Then Eliza and I came home Monday on New Years Eve in the afternoon.  We got to celebrate the new year at home with all 5 kids! We all can't get enough of this sweet precious little girl!  We LOVE you Eliza!  We are so grateful for a wonderful 2012- we truly have been blessed- with Caden's health and a wonderful new addition to our family.  We are excited to see what 2013 has in store!  Happy New Year!
