Carlsbad -(part one)

Jeff had a quick conference in Carlsbad this weekend so we met up with him after school on Friday evening. It only a few hours from us but we hit some major fun LA traffic and took almost twice as long. Anyway it was beautiful there. The kids and i went to Legoland while Jeff was in meetings . We all loved it. It was not to crowded and the kids could go on most rides by themselves. Then the next day we walked the beach and enjoyed the beautiful scenery. The weekend was awesome with ideal conditions , 80 degree weather in January! I am loving the warmth!

9 months and The bike train

Here is our Baby James at 9 months. He is so happy and cuddly. He crawls everywhere and puts everything in his mouth. We sure do love this guy!
Karen (the best mother-in-law ever) stayed a few extra days after the long drive back. We did lots of fun things. One that i got pictures of was this fun Bike ride from Santa Monica Beach to Venice.

Utah visit

The day after Christmas we drove to Utah to see our family. Karen (jeff's mom) was so nice and flew out to Cali to help me drive back with the kids. Jeff was on call so he stayed behind. It was so fun to see and play with some of our aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins. Here are a few pictures from the trip- when i remembered to pull out the camera.some of the Maxfield clan
